The Bible book of Genesis quotes God’s first “Earth Words” as “Let there be light!.” From that moment on, God’s light has been painting our world and everything that lives in it.
Take, for instance, the Blue-Footed Booby on the top right of this page. He lives in the Galapagos Islands, where he takes every opportunity to show off his beautiful BLUE feet to the lady of his life. “Left, right, left, three times through and then wave your wings in excitement!”
My joy is in watching the celebration and recording it on my favorite Canon digital cameras.
The same was true of the bumblebee that came to visit in New Zealand. I was photographing the flowers in the Esplanade, when she flitted in to take advantage of my flower’s nectar and the golden light of the setting sun. Even the Creator would have said “That’s Good.”
The main photo here was taken before the sun kissed the tip of Mount Moran above Oxbow Bend on the Snake River in Grand Teton National Park. A moment of color and light. A moment of Joy!
The sunset, by the way, was taken at the Termals de Chillan, Chile.
